This building is located within a NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission designated historic district. The building’s glazed architectural terra cotta ornamentation was cracked, loose, or missing. Damaged terra cotta was repaired and re-secured, or replaced with GFRC where missing. The existing steel column and spandrel beam at the top floor were repaired and the parapet rebuilt. Steel window lintels were replaced and damage masonry brick on the façade replaces. Working closely with Landmarks Preservation Commission we carefully selected specifications and designed details that would restore the architectural beauty and preserve the historical character of the building.
